While hand washing is preferred, we will all encounter a time when water is not available. For moments like these, or when extra protection is desired, hand sanitizer provides the crucial protection we need.
Mesa Lavender Farms® Hand Sanitizers, unlike many on the market, are registered with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Each bottle is marked on the bottom with the FDA’s product registration number.
Liquid Hand Sanitizer
Our liquid hand sanitizer is FDA’s initial approved monograph which prohibits the use of any additives, such as lavender, aloe, or gel. This product is liquid and unscented.
Mesa Lavender Farms® Hand Sanitizer is certified with the FDA and is extremely effective. To achieve these results, we must follow an approved formulation which prohibits the use of any additives, such as lavender, aloe, or gel. This product is liquid in consistency and effective with just a couple of drops. We look forward to the FDA lifting their restrictions, at which point we will reformulate our Hand Sanitizer to include lavender. At this time, however, there is no lavender or aloe in Mesa Lavender Farms® Hand Sanitizer.
Mesa Lavender Farms® Hand Sanitizer is formulated following FDA/World Health Organization standards. This hand sanitizer consists of isopropyl alcohol, glycerin, hydrogen peroxide, and distilled water. It is available in several bottle types and sizes. Our formulation provides powerful protection that won’t dry your hands out.
Our 2 oz bottles fit easily in a purse, pocket, or glove box for on-the-go convenience. Our 4 and 8 oz sizes are ideal to set on a table or desk and use throughout the day. Our gallon size is perfect for refilling your smaller bottles, or a bottle of your choice.
The active ingredient in Mesa Lavender Farms® Hand Sanitizer is 75% isopropyl alcohol. Glycerin, an emollient used in this formulation, has a soothing effect that helps to keep your skin soft and supple. The hydrogen peroxide is used to inactivate spores that might be in the solution and is not an active component for hand antisepsis. Cold distilled water is added to ensure the alcohol percentage is at 75%. Higher percentages of alcohol have been found to be less effective than a hand rub with 75% alcohol.
While handwashing is preferred, we will all encounter a time when water is not available. For moments like these, or when extra protection is desired, hand sanitizer provides the crucial protection we need. Mesa Lavender Farms® Hand Sanitizer kills 99.9% of germs, including potential disease-causing bacteria.
For maximum protection, apply 2-3 drops or sprays of Mesa Lavender Farms® Hand Sanitizer and thoroughly massage into hands and other desired areas. This is an extremely powerful formulation, so no need to over apply. A little goes a long way!
Due to current shortages in the supply chain, we are having a difficult time getting our hands on our standard Hand Sanitizer bottles and lids. Despite this setback, our mission remains the same – we are dedicated to making this essential product accessible to our community. To achieve this, we are utilizing any containers and lid that we can get our hands-on. As a result, the application method and bottle that contains your Mesa Lavender Farms® Hand Sanitizer may vary depending on what is available. Regardless of these differences, each varying bottle will contain the same highly effective, FDA Certified formulation as our original Hand Sanitizer. Please take note of the product images on the website, as well as the drop-down menu. These will indicate which bottles and applicators are in stock.
