Introduction to CBD Isolate
CBD isolate, cannabidiol, in powder form is available from Mesa Lavender Farms®. It is used to create several different products to include salves, lotions, and oils. Cannabidiol is one of the many cannabinoids present in the cannabis plant. CBD isolate does not contain any THC – the psychoactive component of cannabis. CBD Isolate is extracted from Industrial Hemp, a cannabis which by Colorado and Federal law must contain no more than three-tenths of one percent (0.3%) of delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) on a dry weight basis.
The CBD isolate extracted from industrial hemp is typically more than 99% CBD. The isolate Mesa Lavender Farms® has available contains 99.58% CBD with an additional 0.37% CBDV giving a total percentage of CBD of 99.95%. The Certificate of Analysis for our CBD Isolate is available.
How Pure CBD isolate is processed
Once the raw oil is extracted from the plant tissue, it is frozen to remove undesirable elements that were extracted from the plant, such as fats, chlorophyll molecules, bacteria, and waxes. To further refine and isolate the various cannabinoids, the oil goes through Short Path Distillation. The extract is heated, and each compound separated at a different boiling point. In this way, the CBD is isolated into a nearly pure form.
How to use it
Mesa Lavender Farms isolate is sold in a powdered form. We use our isolate powder to create lotions, tinctures, salves, body products, and other THC-free CBD items. The isolate can be added to practically anything you eat or drink. Brownies, cakes, pies, salads. Add it to your tea or coffee. Make your own tinctures by adding CBD isolate powder to an oil such as coconut oil and put it under your tongue to be absorbed directly into your bloodstream. You can use it to make a salve or rub it directly into your skin.
Some consumers smoke or dab the CBD. While this is a highly effective way to get it into your system the quickest; Mesa Lavender Farms does NOT recommend these methods.
