Weeding and shaping the Mesa Lavender Farms plantation, August 2016, Mack, Colorado.

Mesa Lavender Farms produces lavender for aromatherapy and culinary uses. Our essential oils and buds from our fields in western Colorado, where we grow and steam distill “Grosso’ Lavender (Lavandula x intermedia ‘Grosso’) and culinary lavenders (Lavandula angustifolia) for aromatherapy and culinary uses respectively. We will be adding additional cultivars over the next few years based on the demands of our customers.

The Mesa Lavender Farms essential oils and hydrosols are produced in small batches using 10-gallon stainless steel stills. Our fields located in the Grand Valley of western Colorado.

Our Distillation Process:

All of Mesa Lavender Farms essential oils distilled in 100% food-grade stainless steel stills. We do this to ensure metal contaminants prevented from being a problem with our oils and hydrosols. Metals such as copper are known to increase the degrading effect of oxidation, and the use of all stainless steel still eliminates this problem. The same degree of quality control goes into the production of our lavender-filled fabric products, and other items. We also can provide you high-quality cleaned lavender “buds” for craft products and baking/cooking.

Controlling interactions such as hydrolysis is critical to ensure you receive the most aromatic and effective essential oils available anywhere in the world. Our web page on what scientific research says provides research-based information on the benefits of using high-quality lavender products.
